What is Paracetamol Used For?

Paracetamol 500mg is a commonly used medicine to help with:

How to Take It:

  • Adults (18 and above): Take 2 tablets (500mg each) every 6 hours, only if needed ( Do not take more than 8 tablets (4,000mg) in 24 hours )

  • Teenagers (12–17 years old): Take 1 tablet (500mg) every 6 hours, only if needed ( Do not take more than 4 tablets (2,000mg) in 24 hours )

  • Can be taken with or without food

 

Important:

  • Always follow the dosage instructions given by your doctor or pharmacist

  • Do not take more than the recommended dose

  • Do not take it with other medicines that contain paracetamol (to avoid overdose)

Who Should Be Cautious?

  • People with liver problems

  • People who consume alcohol regularly

  • Those taking other medicines with paracetamol
